Darts is a relaxing way to unwind after work, and anyone can learn to play this game. You can find darts at almost any tavern, and you can easily set up a board at home.
Begin by mounting the dart board. It should be mounted sixty eight inches from the ground, and when it is set up, the number twenty is at 12:00. Measure seven feet nine and a half inches from the wall, and mark the floor with tape. This is the minimum legal distance to throw darts.
With your dart in your hand, approach the line. Depending on which hand you are holding the dart in, place the foot of the same side on the line. This will help you generate power. Your other foot is for stability and should be shoulder width apart. For your best technique, place the thump on the middle of the bottom part of the grip. The index and middle finger go on the top of the grip, with the middle finger toward the front. All of your fingers should be bent.
To throw the dart, bring your dart back toward your shoulder, and arch the dart slightly up. Bend your knees, focus on the target, and thrust the dart quickly at the target. During the follow through, your throwing hand should be pointed slightly below the bullseye.
